Jesus reassures John and his disciples by naming the miracles of the Savior: "the blind receive their sight, the lame walk, the lepers are cleansed, the deaf hear, the dead are raised, and the poor have good news preached to them" (Matthew ).
Jesus not only heals the leper but also instructs the leper to show himself to the priest in. The Gospel of John unveils the majesty and power of Jesus Christ.
The Word was made flesh, dwelt among us, and manifested His glory to the world. As we have just seen, the first half of John’s Gospel describes seven major miracles performed by Christ.
These chapters are occasionally referred to as the Book. The purpose of parables in Jesus Christ's teaching was to focus the listener on God and his kingdom. These stories revealed the character of God: what he is like, how he works, and what he expects from his followers.
Most scholars agree that there are at least 33 parables in the Gospels. Jesus introduced many of these parables with a question. Our study today will examine the purpose of parables. Jesus tells us in Matthew –15 that He speaks in parables to hide the secrets of the kingdom from some and reveal them to others (Matt.
–15). This does not mean His parables are full of esoteric information that only a select few can grasp with their minds. - THE PARABLES AND MIRACLES OF JESUS CHRIST.
